Glenn Abbott scattered eight hits and Dan Meyer drove in three runs to pace the Mariners to a 7-3 triumph over the Angels. A sacrifice fly by Meyer scored Joe Simpson with the tying run in the third inning and Bruce Bochte followed with an RBI single to put the Mariners ahead, 3-2. They picked up three more runs in the fifth, two on a homer by Meyer. [The Sporting News]
