Homers by Tony Armas, Dwayne Murphy and Dave Revering backed Rick Langford's seven-hit pitching as the A's whitewashed the Angels, 8-0. Armas hit a solo homer in the second inning to open the A's scoring, Murphy clouted a two-run blast to highlight a four-run fifth and Revering drilled a bases-empty round-tripper in the seventh.
