A double by Bill Madlock drove home the winning run as the Pirates shaded the Expos, 5-4, in 10 innings. The score was deadlocked, 4-4, when Willie Stargell cracked a leadoff single and was replaced by pinch-runner Matt Alexander. After Bill Robinson struck out, Madlock lashed a ball down the left field line and Alexander came around to score. [The Sporting News]
