. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Hitting safely in his 11th straight game, Mike Hargrove batted in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the eighth inning to lift the Indians to a 2-1 victory over the Blue Jays. Singles by Roy Howell, Otto Velez and Al Woods produced the Jays' run in the fourth. Hargrove's game-winning single came after Rick Manning doubled and Ron Pruitt and Jorge Orta walked to load the bases. [The Sporting News]
