. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Len Barker allowed only two hits in seven innings and Mike Stanton set down the last six batters to complete the Indians' 6-1 victory over the Blue Jays. The Indians settled the issue against Dave Stieb with four runs in the second inning on two walks, a single by Cliff Johnson and doubles by Tom Veryzer and Jorge Orta.

The Blue Jays' lone tally was unearned on an error by Joe Charboneau, who dropped a fly by Ernie Whitt, allowing the batter to reach second. After advancing on an infield out, Whitt scored on a single by Rick Bosetti. [The Sporting News]
