A homer by Joe Charboneau with a man on base capped the Indians' scoring stanza in a 4-1 victory over the Mariners. In the fourth inning, Mike Hargrove extended his batting streak to 19 games with a single. Toby Harrah and Cliff Johnson followed with singles, scoring Hargrove. Harrah also crossed the plate when Mariner left fielder Dan Meyer fumbled Johnson's hit.
