Rookie Rudy Law doubled in one run and set up another with the first of his four stolen bases to spark the Dodgers to a 2-1 victory over the Cubs. After the Cubs took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a leadoff homer by Lenny Randle, Davey Lopes led off the L. A. third with a two-bagger and came home on a double by Law. Reggie Smith then walked and, after he and Law worked a double steal, Law scored on a grounder by Steve Garvey. [The Sporting News]
