Taking advantage of Nolan Ryan's lapses, the Expos posted a 3-2 triumph over the Astros. In Montreal's first turn at bat, Rodney Scott reached second safely on an error by Ryan, moved to third on a wild pitch and, after Andre Dawson walked, scored on the front end of a double steal.

Larry Parrish followed with a double, driving in Dawson. The deciding run followed in the third on a single by Scott and double by Dawson. Starting pitcher David Palmer, who has not lost since last July 24, received credit for his 10th consecutive victory. [The Sporting News]
