Dan Graham homered to tie the score in the sixth inning and then singled for the key hit in the eighth as the Orioles defeated the Rangers, 4-2. Pat Kelly led off the eighth with a single, stole second and advanced to third on a flyout.

Jim Kern replaced Fergie Jenkins on the hill for the Texans and struck out Ken Singleton but then hit Eddie Murray with a pitch. Graham followed with a single to score Kelly, breaking a 2-2 tie. Murray also tallied when center fielder Mickey Rivers misplayed the ball. [The Sporting News]
