Tony Perez drove in three runs with a double and homer to pace the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory over the Indians. The Red Sox scored three times in the second inning on a two-run triple by Carlton Fisk and sacrifice fly by Carl Yastrzemski.

Perez accounted for an RBI with a double in the third and smacked a two-run round-tripper in the eighth. Indians first baseman Mike Hargrove ran his consecutive hitting streak to 23 games. [The Sporting News]
