The White Sox got on the board in their first turn at bat when Chet Lemon drilled a solo homer, picked up another tally in the second on a single by Claudell Washington and iced the game in the seventh with a four-run outburst that was climaxed with a three-run pinch-double by Wayne Nordhagen.
