The Expos, who were losing, 4-1, erupted for six runs in the seventh inning and defeated the Reds. 9-6, for their sixth straight victory. After two walks and a single by Ron LeFlore loaded the bases, a grounder by Andre Dawson got past Reds third baseman Ray Knight for an error, two runs scoring.
