Led by Jim Dwyer and Tony Perez, who hit two homers each, the Red Sox fired a round-tripper barrage to bury the Blue Jays, 11-2. The Red Sox jumped off to a lead in the first inning on a three-run circuit clout by Perez. Jim Rice blasted a two-run homer in the third and Dwyer led off the fifth with his third homer in three games. Dwyer added his second homer, a three-run blast in the ninth, and two batters later, Perez lined a solo shot to left-center. [The Sporting News]
