A five-run explosion in the eighth inning lifted the Mariners to a 6-5 triumph over the Brewers. Trailing, 4-1, the Mariners began the winning surge with singles by Larry Milbourne and Tom Paciorek. A double by Willie Horton plated two runs and Bruce Bochte followed with a two-run homer. Bill Stein then capped the outburst with a solo round-tripper.
