Mike Schmidt and Greg Luzinski hit back-to-back homers for the fourth time this season and Garry Maddox also rapped a round-tripper as the Phillies defeated the Astros, 6-2. Maddox connected in the second inning when the Phillies scored three runs. After Luzinski doubled and Bob Boone singled for another run in the third, Schmidt and Luzinski went into their slugging act in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
