In the lineup as the designated hitter, Lloyd Moseby batted in two runs with a double in the first inning and two more with his first major league homer in the third to spark the Blue Jays to a 9-6 victory over the Yankees. In addition to the rookie's slugging, the Blue Jays also had a three-run homer by John Mayberry. Luis Leal gained the victory in his first major league appearance, although tagged for 12 hits in 7 2/3 innings. [The Sporting News]
