Homers by Gorman Thomas and Ben Oglivie high-lighted a 18-hit attack as the Brewers enjoyed an 11-1 rout of the Mariners. Thomas gave the Brewers a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a round-tripper that followed a single by Cecil Cooper. Thomas also singled home a run in a five-run third and drove in another in the sixth. Oglivie belted his league-leading 12th homer in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
