A three-run outburst in the ninth lifted the Blue Jays to a 3-1 triumph over the Red Sox. The Jays trailed, 1-0, when Lloyd Moseby began the winning rally with a single and was sacrificed to second by Al Woods.

Dick Drago relieved Tom Burgmeier on the hill for the Sox and, after getting the second out, hit pinch-hitter Otto Velez with a pitch. Damaso Garcia, Alfredo Griffin and Bob Bailor then followed with consecutive run-scoring singles. [The Sporting News]
