Leading off in the 11th inning, Lenn Sakata hit his first homer in an Orioles' uniform to defeat the Brewers, 9-8. The pinch-hitter's blow made a winner out of Tippy Martinez, who pitched to just one batter, striking out Ben Oglivie with the bases loaded in the top half of the 11th. The Brewers had four homers in the game, one each by Oglivie and Gorman Thomas and two by Cecil Cooper, who connected each time with a man on base. [The Sporting News]
