In the first meeting this season between the 1979 A.L. divisional champions, Scott McGregor tossed a four-hitter for his fourth straight victory to lead the Orioles to a 6-1 victory over the Angels. Ken Singleton, who missed three games with a back injury, returned to key a two-run first inning with an RBI double before scoring himself on Terry Crowley's single.
