In a see-saw 10-inning battle, the Yankees outlasted the Angels, 8-7. The Yanks tied game in the top of the ninth inning on a solo homer by Reggie Jack son and registered the winning run in the 10th on a run-scoring single by Bob Watson with two out. Watson's blow drove home Bobby Brown, who had reached first on a fielder's choice and then stole second. [The Sporting News]
