Jack Clark blasted a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lift the Giants to a 3-1 triumph over the Phillies in a game delayed five hours by rain. Frisco trailed, 1-0, going into the eighth, when Terry Whitfield drew a leadoff walk. One out later, Clark cracked his round-tripper. Only about 200 fans remained at the end of the game, which concluded at 3:12 a.m. [The Sporting News]
