A two-run double by Chris Chambliss keyed a three-run seventh inning that snapped a 4-4 tie and lifted the Braves to a 7-6 triumph over the Cubs. Chambliss later scored when Cubs center fielder Jerry Martin dropped a fly ball hit by Bob Horner.
