Robin Yount's inside-the-park homer capped a four-run second inning that propelled the Brewers to a 5-2 triumph over the Royals. Ben Oglivie cracked a homer to lead off the Brewers' second frame. Sixto Lezcano and Dick Davis followed with singles and Jim Gantner sacrificed the runners to second and third. Lezcano scored on an infield grounder by Charlie Moore and Yount then lined a shot off the right field wall and circled the bases.
