. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Chris Chambliss put on a one-man show with five RBIs to lead the Braves over the Cardinals, 6-3. The Atlanta first sacker knocked in the Braves' first run with a first-inning single and helped increase the lead to 3-0 with an RBI single in the third.

After the Cards tied the score in the fourth, Chambliss blasted a homer in the fifth to score Glenn Hubbard, who had tripled, and Dale Murphy, who had walked. Chambliss also had a double in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
