. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Yankees recorded their seventh straight victory, beating the Angels, 7-5. After Reggie Jackson had tied the contest at 4-4 in the third inning with a solo homer, a two-run pinch double by Lou Piniella in the sixth put the Bronx Bombers ahead to stay. Winning pitcher Rudy May struck out eight in 4 1/3 innings of relief. [The Sporting News]
