Hitting a double and two singles, Butch Wynegar drove in all of the Twins' runs in a 3-2 victory over the Indians. Singles by Ron Jackson, Rob Wilfong and Wynegar opened the scoring in the third inning.

Wilfong singled again and Wynegar doubled for another run in the fifth. The Twins catcher then delivered the winning single in the seventh, driving in John Castino, who had singled and moved to second on a sacrifice. [The Sporting News]
