The Reds broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning with a solo homer by Dave Concepcion, added another run in the seventh on a double by Johnny Bench and put the game away with a four-run outburst in the eighth with a run-scoring triple by Ken Griffey, error by Braves left fielder Jeff Burroughs and run-scoring singles by Sam Mejias and Concepcion.
