The Reds battered the Braves from pillar to post in pounding out a 15-3 victory. After the Braves scored a run in the top of fthe irst inning on a homer by Dale Murphy, Ray Knight put the Reds ahead in the bottom of the frame with a grand slam. Ken Griffey belted a circuit clout in the seventh. Tom Seaver, going the first seven innings, picked up the victory, only his third of the season.
