Jerry Reuss posted the first no-hitter of his career and the first in the major leagues this season, pitching the Dodgers to an 8-0 victory over the Giants. Only one batter reached base against the southpaw, who was deprived of a perfect game when shortstop Bill Russell threw wildly on a grounder by Jack Clark in the first inning. [The Sporting News]
