. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Accounting for five RBIs between them, Damaso Garcia and Otto Velez batted the Blue Jays to a 6-3 victory over the Indians. Dave Stieb pitched a three-hitter and turned in his 10th complete game of the season.

The Jays scored three runs in the second inning. With the bases loaded, Wayne Garland hit Bob Davis with a pitch to force in one run and Garcia singled to add a pair. After the Indians came back to tie the score, Velez hit a two-run homer in the fifth. Garcia then added a run with a single in the sixth for his third RBI of the game. [The Sporting News]
