George Brett, who tied the Royals' club record for doubles in one game with three on August 10, 1974, did it again with three more two-baggers in a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. The Royals also had doubles by Hal McRae, Clint Hurdle and John Wathan and a homer by Willie Wilson.
