Frank Tanana pitched the first seven innings to pick up the victory as the Angels swept past the Indians, 7-1. The Angels scored twice in the fourth inning on a single by Jason Thompson and groundout by Freddie Patek. They added four tallies in the fifth with a two-run single by Don Baylor being the key blow.
