Len Barker spaced six hits in a route-going performance, pitching the Indians to a 5-3 victory over the Angels. The Tribe scored in the first inning when Miguel Dilone singled, stole second and came home on a triple by Jorge Orta.

Dilone smacked a two-bagger in the fifth and tallied on a single by Toby Harrah. Gary Gray connected for a homer in the sixth and Ron Hassey doubled home two runs in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
