The A's broke their club record for homers in a game, smashing six while beating the Indians, 9-1. Tony Armas and Mitchell Page whacked two homers each and Jim Essian and Dwayne Murphy hit one apiece to surpass the A's former high of five. While his teammates were pounding the ball, Mike Norris pitched a four-hitter and turned in his 13th complete game and 48th to the credit of the A's staff. [The Sporting News]
