With Mike Easler and John Milner batting in two runs apiece, the Pirates defeated the Dodgers, 7-3, for their seventh straight victory. Easler delivered his RBIs with a double in the first inning and Milner homered with a man on base in the third. Don Robinson, who started on the mound for the Pirates, pulled a groin muscle in the first. Eddie Solomon relieved and hurled six innings to gain the victory. [The Sporting News]
