. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Homers by Mike Cubbage, Rick Sofield and John Castino powered the Twins to a 5-4 triumph over the Red Sox. After the Red Sox took an early 4-0 lead, the Twins scored three runs in the fifth inning, two on a round-tripper by Cubbage and another on a sacrifice fly by Ron Jackson. Sofield's shot tied the score at 4-4 in the sixth and Castino's blast in the seventh decided the outcome. [The Sporting News]
