A double by Johnny Bench keyed a two-run seventh inning that carried the Reds over the Phillies, 5-4. The game was tied, 3-3, in the seventh, when Ken Griffey drilled a one-out double and Bench slammed his two-bagger to produce the go-ahead run. The game then was delayed by rain for 56 minutes and, when play was resumed, Dan Driessen singled home Bench. [The Sporting News]
