The White Sox spoiled the comeback attempt of Steve Busby by pounding the erstwhile All-Star pitcher for six runs and nine hits in 4 2/3 innings en route to a 6-1 victory over the Royals. Busby, coming back from the minors, made his first start since last August 3.

The White Sox broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth inning, loading the bases and scoring two runs on grounders by Greg Pryor and Bob Molinaro. Three tallies followed in the fifth, two coming in on a double by Kevin Bell. [The Sporting News]
