Sparked by Terry Puhl, who led off the ninth inning with a homer, the Astros rallied for seven runs and defeated the Expos, 9-8. After Puhl's blow, Jose Cruz batted in two runs with a single, Enos Cabell plated a pair with a single and Alan Ashby added two runs with a double to put the Astros ahead, 9-7.
