The Angels snapped their four-game losing streak with a 3-2 triumph over the Tigers. California trailed, 2-1, when Bobby Grich singled with one out in the seventh and raced to third on a single by Larry Harlow.

After Bert Campaneris flied out, Detroit third baseman Tom Brookens bobbled pinch-hitter Joe Rudi's grounder, then threw wide to first as Grich registered the tying run. Rick Miller followed with a single up the middle to plate Harlow with the decisive tally. [The Sporting News]
