The Indians recorded their sixth straight victory, a 7-3 decision over the Mariners. The Tribe scored in the first on a triple by Miguel Dilone and single by Jorge Orta. The Indians added five runs in the sixth on a run-scoring double by Toby Harrah, an error and a three-run homer by Rick Manning. Len Barker, who had a no-hitter for 6 2/3 innings, was kayoed in a three-run eighth and Victor Cruz came on to retire the final four batters and earn the save. [The Sporting News]
