The Orioles survived a ninth-inning Texas rally to win, 4-3. The Birds scored in the first inning on a single by Pat Kelly, added two more runs in the second on a single by Rich Dauer and a passed ball and picked up their final tally in the eighth on a solo homer by Gary Roenicke. The Rangers scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth and had the tying run on second when Tippy Martinez came on to get the final out. [The Sporting News]
