Coming through with his fourth hit of the game, Frank Taveras singled with two out in the eighth inning, scoring Alex Trevino to give the Mets a 5-4 victory over the Astros. The Mets tied the score at 4-4 with a three-run pinch-homer by Steve Henderson in the seventh.
