Enjoying his biggest game since joining the Giants, Joe Pettini contributed four hits to the attack in a victory over the Cubs. Vida Blue made his first start for the Giants since June 27 and left after five innings on the short end of a 3-2 score. The Cubs were ahead, 5-4, in the eighth when the Giants rallied for four runs, the last two coming on a double by Pettini. [The Sporting News]
