Taking advantage of every opportunity, the Yankees scored five unearned runs and defeated the error-prone Brewers, 5-3. The Brewers had homers by Cecil Cooper and Robin Yount in taking a 3-0 lead before the Yankees scored four times in the sixth with the aid of errors by Paul Molitor and Ben Oglivie.
