A grand slam by Terry Crowley climaxed a five-run fifth inning that powered the Orioles to an 8-2 victory over the White Sox and enabled Steve Stone to receive credit for his 17th win of the season. The Orioles, trailing 2-1 going into the bottom of the fifth, tied the contest on a bases-loaded single by Al Bumbry. Crowley then followed with the third bases-loaded homer of his career.
