First-inning homers by Mickey Rivers and Richie Zisk triggered the Rangers to an 8-1 thrashing of the Yankees. Rivers opened the game with a round-tripper. After Bump Wills doubled and scored on a single by Buddy Bell, Zisk delivered a circuit swat.
