Dusty Baker and Ron Cey clouted homers to highlight the Dodgers' 6-2 victory over the Braves. Baker, who had four hits in the game, rapped a solo shot in the third inning. Cey put the game on ice with a three-run smash in the ninth. Don Sutton. who pitched seven innings, recorded his eighth victory of the season and 225th of his career while increasing his lifetime mark against the Braves to 33-12. [The Sporting News]
