A three-run uprising in the eighth inning carried the Braves to a 3-2 victory over the Dodgers. Jerry Royster reached first base on a fielder's choice in the eighth and took second on a single by Rafael Ramirez.

A single by Gary Matthews scored Royster and Charis Chambliss followed with a double to chase home two more runs. Rick Camp came on in the ninth to get the final two outs for the save after L.A. scored two runs. [The Sporting News]
